Sara Vaccariello, L.Ac., MSA, E-CYT - Owner
Sara is a board-certified, licensed acupuncturist. She received her Master of Science from Tri-State College of Acupuncture in New York City, where she now teaches as a core faculty member. TSCA remains the only acupuncture college in North America to specialize in trigger point therapy and Japanese-based technique, and Sara employs these modern approaches every day in her private practice.
Originally from Colorado, Sara is a health and movement enthusiast. As a former competitive athlete, she has a first-hand understanding of what is required of the physical and mental body for peak performance and execution. Having completed post-graduate work in sports orthopedics, Sara specializes in pain management and injury rehabilitation; but, she also holds a keen interest in emotional imbalances, stress, allergies, insomnia and GI dysfunction, the last of which she believes is the key to all health.
Sara's former work included a residency at the NYU Perlmutter Cancer Center, where, by using protocol developed by MD Anderson and Memorial Sloan Kettering hospitals, she provided acupuncture treatment to patients to help reduce the side effects of chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
Sara has a growing private practice in the Union Square neighborhood in New York City. Current patients include the New York City Ballet, American Ballet Theatre and New York Knicks, along with parents, business professionals and any individuals seeking stress reduction and optimal health. Her goal is to help her clients return to peak performance, function and health. She believes that this medicine is so powerful in its healing capabilities, and she honors the opportunity to work with individuals in their goals to achieving optimal well-being.
In her spare time, Sara can be found sticking her feet in the grass at Prospect Park, playing a pickup soccer game, or hiking her beloved Colorado mountains.
